La técnica del esgrafiado es una técnica ornamental arquitectónica utilizada para la decoración en el enlucido y revestimiento de muros, tanto en el exterior como en el interior de edificios. Empleando cal, arena y pigmentos minerales se aplican sucesivas capas de distintos tonos de forma que al levantar la capa superior se deja ver el tono de la capa inferior. De esta forma se va generando el dibujo resultante, en el que además se ha empleado, a modo de trama, un diseño orgánico que contrasta con las formas geométricas que definen la estructura de la composición.

 

A nivel geométrico, la composición juega con la percepción de lo cóncavo y/o lo convexo, de forma que se establece un juego con la mirada del espectador y su propia percepción. Es, por tanto, una composición cambiante, que nos recuerda la importancia de los diferentes puntos de vista y que todo es inherente a su contrario.

The sgraffito technique is an architectural ornamental technique used for decoration in the plastering and coating of walls, both on the exterior and interior of buildings. Using lime, sand and mineral pigments, successive layers of different tones are applied in such a way that when the upper layer is lifted, the tone of the lower layer is revealed. In this way, the resulting drawing is generated, in which an organic design has also been used as a weft that contrasts with the geometric shapes that define the structure of the composition.

 

At the geometric level, the composition plays with the perception of the concave and/or the convex, in such a way that a game is established with the viewer's gaze and his own perception. It is, therefore, a changing composition, which reminds us of the importance of different points of view and that everything is inherent to its opposite.
